Mind~Body~Soul

I know it’s been a while since I blogged but like everyone else, I have nothing but time on my hands, so I have no excuse. I survived day umm I don’t even know of quarantine and working from home and boy oh boy has it been an interesting experience, but it did bring one thing to my attention; I have NO self-care routine in place. I worked 8:00 – 3:20 and then I nap, eat and watch TV. Now although those activities can be apart of my self-care routine that cannot be solely it. During this time of the NYC being on PAUSE, I want to ensure that I use this time wisely; so, I will be working on SELF. As I began creating my self-care/self-love list, I thought it would be only right that I share some ideas with all of you since we are on this journey together. Here are some things you can do right from the comfort of your own home!!!!!!


Mind

Read

Recite affirmations

Brain Dump

Learn something new

Practice Mindfulness

Read inspiring quotes and article

Stay Connected-FaceTime, Zoom, House Party, etc.

Self-reflect

Create a vision board

Listen to a podcast

Accomplish small goals

Do a crossword puzzle or Sudoku

Research! Study!

Watch a Ted Talk


BODY

Exercise (Zumba, Yoga, Cardio)

Water! Water! Water!

Take Bubble Bath or Hot Shower

Get plenty of sleep

Stretch in the morning

Get some sun and fresh air

Eat healthy

Take an online fitness or dance class

Take a 30-minute walk

Pamper Yourself

Get Dressed Up

Drink a nice cup of tea

Take a power nap

Take standing breaks

Less screen time
